Hy-Desert Dev Group LLC. offers American Heart Association® (AHA) Heartsaver® CPR AED Certification, which is a video-based, instructor-led classroom course. This class covers three main topics:

• Adult CPR 
• AED use
• How to relieve choking on an adult

Instructors lead this hands-on course using the American Heart Association's research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique. This technique allows the instructor to observe the students as they practice administering CPR, using an AED, and relieving choking. Instructors provide guidance during the class and give in-the-moment feedback as students practice using these skills.

Choose one or two training sessions for up to 10 people in each class. We keep class size small so instructors have time to watch and provide individual coaching. This way, each student leaves feeling confident he or she has received comprehensive instruction and ready to use AED or CPR skills if the need arises. 

Classes are 3.5 to 4 hours, depending on the number of students who participate. 

Unlike some other providers, this isn't a purely online course for AED/CPR. These are skills that need to be taught and coached by someone with experience to ensure that they're utilized properly if the need arises. Students who complete AED/CPR training with us and receive certification have hands-on experience from the training, which is indispensable when it comes to putting their lifesaving skills to use quickly and confidently.

Classroom Requirements

We bring training materials, manikins, and all related supplies. Your training area should include the following elements:

• Video system: TV with DVD player or computer with a projector are common setups. The classroom needs to allow for everyone to be able to watch the training video.
• A chair for each student
• Open space for 4 manikins, so students can practice skills
• Clean and free of clutter or items that would get in the way of training
• Appropriate lighting
• Sufficiently quiet for watching the video and interacting with the instructor. Areas where there's constant activity or through traffic tend to be distracting and aren't suitable
• Tables are optional, but nice to have if available

Larger spaces are preferable. Our instructors can generally adapt to the environment, but providing a sufficiently spacious training room is key.
